Workshop hosted by Andrea Sexton

A number of folk have asked me about the opportunity for them to learn some good, solid drawing practice, to improve confidence and practice a range of skills. With this in mind, and a good mix of play and exploration, I have developed this drawing workshop.

You will look at a range of drawing conventions and processes during this 3 hour workshop. I will demonstrate each technique, modelling the steps, and supporting individuals along the way.

Many people often find drawing daunting, initially putting pen or pencil to paper. Where do I start? I can teach a range of starting points, simple conventions, effective compositions and unique outcomes.

Materials for you to bring

• Paper/ quality A3 cartridge/ drawing paper

• Collage material (such as vintage wallpaper, book pages, black & white images)

• A board to work on

• Acrylic paints/water colour paints

• Range of brushes

• Inks

• Black fine liners / ink pens (various thicknesses)

• Charcoal sticks or compressed charcoal

• Graphite sticks or crayons

• Gel Medium

Everyone is welcome, including older children if supervised by an adult also attending the workshop.
