Hydrangea Round
This unique work is comprised of stencil, mono printing and hand painted techniques. Enamel spray paint, water based printing inks, acrylic paint and inks are the mediums used. 
This is a playful piece, where I allowed myself the time and space to create multiple layers with multiple mediums. The over all effect is quite dreamy and subtle, with the contrast of the bold leaves that appear to float within the floral forms. 
Hydrangeas often feature in my work, I adore the voluptuous forms and subtle tone and texture shift. They were also one of my dear Mums favourite flower. The grown in abundance in Southland and seem to be a hardy and resistant flower. Perhaps that is also why I adore them.
