I was inspired by a collection of delightful pottery vases, small and glazed in the most adorable colours. I created this series, ‘Small things’, as a nod to still life, creative picture making, exploration of mixed media and showcasing some Native trees from Aotearoa. All elements are treated equally, and celebrated.
Media used for this work are collaged papers, watercolours, acrylic, ink, gold leaf and graphite on paper, mounted on board.

Frame: Presented on off white Matt board and set in a simple black frame. Two D-rings secured on the back made for easy hanging.
